Snowy Weekend Getaway in Québec City

I work for a company that is based in Québec, so often I will go for a few weeks at time to spend some time in the office for onboarding, meetings etc. I spent a few weeks there in January and I couldn’t not take advantage of visiting Québec City, since I never got around to it when I was living in Québec.

I convinced my mom that we needed a girls weekend and that she should fly from Toronto into Québec City for the weekend and I would drive up after work. We stayed at the Chateau Frontenac on the St. Laurence River and had an awesome view from our room. It was the perfect combination of cozy and elegant and you could definitely still feel all of the history. I loved every second of my time there – and the hotel bar made awesome martinis!

Below are some pictures I took when walking around Old Town after a delicious meal at the oldest and first restaurant in the city, Aux Anciens Canadiens. The restaurant served mostly traditional Québecoise food and we honestly enjoyed everything that we ate. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you are in Québec City.

Overall it was a great weekend, full of many maple lattes to bare the -35 degree celsius January weather (so worth it!).

xx Becca
