Hi Y’all,

Thanks for dropping by – I’m Rebecca!

By day, I’m a Dealer Image Coordinator, (for a pretty awesome company) and by night, a reality TV addict, an avid Peloton rider (if you have one let’s be “pelo-friends”!!), a lover of bubbly, and a wannabe party planner.

I graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Commerce in Retail Management and after a few big moves over the past few years I am happily residing in the big city of Dallas, TX with my husband and our two fur babies – Maple & Jerry!

This blog started a few months after graduating university as a way to gain a creative outlet and pass some time – I was living alone in rural Quebec and didn’t have too many friends (LOL not kidding…). In short, after a few too many D.I.Y. projects and A LOT of encouragement from my family and friends, “alongwayfromhome.ca” was born.

This little blog is really about my own personal journey to happiness, it’s been here when I needed it and has also been put on the back burner a lot.  I’m not blogging because I really believe I have stellar style, or anything super important to say – but more because it gives me a great creative outlet and I truly enjoy planning the posts, making the projects and shooting the finished product.
